Save A Reporter
I recently graduated Towson University where I studied broadcast journalism and electronic media and film. I currently hold a full-time job of searching for a career in television news. I have many interests and a broad range of talents, and know I will astound you with my drive and charismatic attitude.
Why do I want to be a reporter you ask? I feel like too many people are unaware of what goes on in their own backyard. Even if they are given the facts, they miss what is most important, the emotion, the people affected, the fact it could have been them. Sure, most of what goes on in the world is depressing, and many people would rather ignore it, but it comes to this, "If they had to live through it, you can at least have the decency to learn of it," Monica Lopossay.
One of my biggest role models is international reporter Kevin Sites. He brings out the human element better than any other reporter I have ever followed. He puts a face to the facts, and makes you put yourself in the shoes of the people affected. He takes ownership of his stories by writing, filming and editing all himself.
